Millennium Mills - Newham

Urban Lab 3: Regeneration and Conservation

Urban Lab 3 looked at a live site project, this being the Derelict Millennium Mills site in East London. The Project required me to develop my Team working skills in dividing the site into sections to work on a joint Master plan for its Redevelopment. This Module also helped me to Develop key understandings of the principles required in carrying out Heritage led Developments and carrying out Policy impact analysis of proposals

Urban Lab 4: Urban Design Masterplanning

This Project looked at site to the south west of Oxford City Centre. There has been much debate around how to redevelop this site. The project required us to Develop a Group Master Plan for how to redevelop the site. During this project i developed a good understanding of how to use ArcGIS for mapping a site and planning for an potential physical challenges that could be posed to a development such as risk of flooding and areas covered conservation orders. Further to this i developed skills in Financial Appraisal for demonstrating the viability of proposed developments.
